High-end kitchen and bathroom renovation with custom cabinetry, luxury fixtures, and detailed construction upgrades throughout the home.
Our latest Northwest Austin kitchen and bathroom remodel took approximately 10 weeks to complete. The original layout was completely transformed with custom shaker-style cabinetry, high-end appliances, premium plumbing fixtures, custom lighting, and a much larger oversized island. We relocated multiple appliances, expanded the laundry room, replaced the downstairs flooring throughout the home, and rebuilt the kitchen with a cleaner and more functional design centered around the new island layout.
One of the biggest changes in this kitchen remodel was relocating the sink from the perimeter cabinets into the oversized island to improve the overall kitchen layout and workflow. We also relocated several appliances throughout the kitchen and installed an Elise 48-inch induction range and cooktop combination.
One of the more challenging parts of the project was installing the large Miele vent hood, which mounts directly to the ceiling and raises and lowers electronically at the push of a button. Due to the weight and cabinet layout surrounding the hood, we designed a custom lifting approach during installation to safely position and secure the unit without damaging the surrounding cabinetry.
During the remodel, we expanded the laundry room by moving the wall approximately 10 inches into the kitchen area, which also required relocating and replacing the electrical service panel located inside that wall.
The kitchen features fully custom painted shaker-style cabinetry along with a large wall of matching built-in cabinets that houses a wine refrigerator, built-in Miele coffee maker, microwave, and additional storage. Under-cabinet LED lighting was installed throughout the upper cabinets along with LED toe-kick lighting throughout the kitchen cabinetry. The laundry room also includes a powered hanging storage system that moves up and down at the push of a button to maximize functionality within the space.
This kitchen remodel included a combination of high-end appliances from Miele, Viking, Bosch, Sharp, and Elise along with premium Dorn-Bracht plumbing fixtures. The cabinetry was topped with Decton porcelain countertops and a matching full-height backsplash that created continuous vein matching from the countertops up the walls. We also installed high-end recessed lighting that was mudded directly into the drywall ceiling for a much cleaner finished appearance without visible trim rings.
This Northwest Austin bathroom remodel transformed a small bathroom with tight spacing and difficult angles into a cleaner and more functional space with custom cabinetry, updated lighting, premium plumbing fixtures, and large-format tile throughout. The goal was to maximize the space while creating a more open and seamless finished appearance.
Because of the compact layout and unusual wall angles, careful planning was required throughout the remodel. We installed a custom floating vanity to visually open up the floor space while improving the overall layout and functionality of the bathroom. We also updated the ventilation system and installed new recessed lighting within the shower area.
The bathroom features a custom rift-cut white oak floating vanity with fluted door fronts along with Rohl plumbing fixtures finished in champagne bronze. Matching champagne bronze sconces were also installed at the vanity area to tie the finishes together while improving the overall lighting around the mirror.
Although the shower footprint was only approximately 3 feet by 3 feet, we used large-format 2-foot by 4-foot wall tile to create a cleaner appearance with fewer grout joints throughout the shower enclosure. The bathroom floor was finished with a geometric patterned tile that added texture and contrast within the smaller space.
To finish off the shower, we installed a frameless glass enclosure with matching champagne bronze hardware for a much cleaner finished appearance.
The total investment to complete this kitchen and bathroom remodeling project was approximately $200K. Learn more about kitchen and bathroom remodeling costs in Austin TX.
