Complete master bathroom renovation featuring a large walk-in shower, custom hard maple cabinetry, frameless glass, and updated finishes throughout.
This Lago Vista master bathroom remodel completely transformed an outdated upstairs bathroom that had not been updated since the 1980s. The original bathroom was filled with black cultured marble, builder-grade cabinetry, and oversized fixtures that made the room feel smaller and more crowded than it actually was. After gutting the entire bathroom, we rebuilt the space with a much more open layout centered around a large walk-in shower, custom cabinetry, and updated finishes throughout.
One of the biggest improvements in this remodel was removing the old bathtub, which immediately opened up the room and created space for a much larger walk-in shower. We also framed in the water closet and installed a privacy door to better separate the space from the main bathroom area. The overall layout feels much cleaner and more functional compared to the original bathroom configuration.
We installed a custom hard maple shaker-style double vanity along with a matching linen cabinet for additional storage. The full shiplap accent wall behind the vanity became another major focal point within the bathroom along with the two mirrors, vanity lights, and heated towel bar. All vanity faucets and plumbing fixtures throughout the bathroom were supplied by Delta with matching finishes throughout the bathroom.
Removing the old bathtub allowed us to create a much larger walk-in shower and completely open up the feel of the bathroom. We installed large 12×24 wall tile along with a shaved river rock shower floor to create contrast and texture throughout the space. The shower also includes a large recessed niche, a built-in footrest near the pony wall, and frameless glass surrounding the enclosure.
